BLUEGRASS SONGS & LICKS WORKSHOPS
 A Bill Monroe Classic
 Developing Interesting Solos

Dawn Watson taught bluegrass mandolin at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas, for several years and has taught at many day-long and weekend-long mandolin workshops across the country.

She played for many years with Alan Munde and Country Gazette. She is the 1980 Flatpicking Champion and the 1989 Arizona State Mandolin Champion.

Dawn is described by Tony Trischka as ". . . rising new voice on the mandolin, whose every solo demonstrates clarity, finesse and originality.

She plays original bluegrass music with her husband Dave Hardy in the aptly named duo Watson and Hardy. Bluegrass Now wrote, "Dave and Dawn are one of the most exciting, original and entertaining duos in bluegrass music . . ."

Dawn, from Longmont, Colorado, also plays in the New Mandolin Quartet, which plays classical string quartet music.
