Marilynn Mair is a classical mandolinist best known for her work in chamber music and Brazilian choro. She has performed throughout Europe, North America, and the Far East, has released eight highly acclaimed recordings and appears on numerous compilations.

She has been active in commissioning new work for the mandolin and has premiered and recorded some of the most significant twentieth century works for mandolin.

She also co-founded and continues to direct the annual American Mandolin & Guitar Summer School, now in its sixteenth year. In addition to her solo and duo work, Marilynn Mair performs with the World Café Quartet, the mandolin-accordion-guitar trio, d'Accord and directs the Boston-based mandolin group, Enigmatica.
